Quigley Appointed Chairman of House Subcommittee on Higher Education
HARRISBURG – After serving on the House Education Committee for more than 10 years, Rep. Tom Quigley (R-Montgomery) was appointed as the chairman of the Subcommittee on Higher Education by House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny).

“A great deal of important work that defines the actions of the Education Committee happens at the subcommittee level. I look forward to becoming more involved with the discussion and research focused on a whole host of higher education topics,” Quigley said. “I am honored to take this leadership role.”

Quigley said the subcommittee will concentrate on the quality and affordability of higher education, community colleges and Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), particularly as the strategic system review is completed.

In addition to his work on the Education Committee, Quigley is also serving on the Consumer Affairs, Finance and Human Services committees.

Quigley is serving his sixth term representing the 146th District in Montgomery County.
